Patricia Allen lives in a small mountain community close to Yosemite National Park. Primarily a plein air landscape painter, she uses both transparent and opaque watermedia on paper to capture a sense of place.

She holds signature status in the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, and the California Watercolor Society. She is an invited member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society.
